Lower Repair Prices at HomeRun

Before your computer needs major surgery or a stay in the intensive care ward, take steps toward preventative medicine. Sign up for HomeRun Service Plus. For only $59.99 HomeRun Computers will setup your computer for remote service, scan, identify & diagnose potential problems and repair them before they become serious.

And the best part is not only the lower price ($70 off the in-shop cost), but it can be done without having to disconnect and bring the computer in. No down time, no waiting, no having to disconnect and then trying to remember how to reconnect all the wires and cables.

This is a new remote access service that is available to all our customers.

Then for an annual subscription of $59.99 we'll protect, update and keep your system in peak condition and help to avoid costly repairs. That works out to only $4.99/month! See if the next meal at McDonald's gives you that much value for your buck.

In most cases computer slow-downs and intermittant problems, virus infections, ad popups etc. can be resolved before they become debilitating and before serious damage can be done to your computer.

Further, if your system were to become so damaged that it can't get online, and has to be brought in for service, while you are under the HomeRun Service Plus plan, you are guaranteed a maximum repair bill of only $59.99!  Without this plan, repair costs generally run between $129.95 and $200.  Hopefully with HomeRun Service Plus your computer won't get to the point of needing major service/repair, but if it does, you won't have to break the budget to get your system back up and running.

Your computer must have highspeed internet access (DSL, CommSPEED wireless or MediaCom cable) for this service. Simply call us at HomeRun Computers (319) 668-9706 to sign up for this service.

Questions and Answers... and the "small print stuff":

1. What happens if Dr. John dies? HomeRun Computer Service, LLC is a private company with a number investors as well as others who are involved with the business on a daily basis and will take over and continue if I were not able. The contract is with HomeRun Computers not John Leathers.

2. What happens if HomeRun Computers dies? There is no way I can guarantee the future success of the company, but, we have been in business for over seven years now, and although we've felt the crunch of the current economic crisis as have most small businesses, we are still alive, well and doing better than ever before.

3. How many contracts can I buy? Is this limited to only one contract per person? No, there is no limit other than the limit of a total of twelve contracts per HomeRun location.

4. Is this offer only for personal use, or can I buy the contract for my business? Yes, your business or personal use is fine. The contract is for the term of your life, not your company’s life.

5. I just purchased a new computer from you and doubt that I'll need/want a replacement for it in only two years. Can I postpone starting my contract? No, the contracts are limited and on a first-paid/first-made basis, in two or three years (depending on your contract) you'll be eligible to have your new system assembled and delivered, but if for whatever reason, you want to hold off on delivery you can until you are ready. You will receive a $500 credit value to your account annually. Therefore instead of a retail value of $1,500 toward your new system, if you choose to postpone delivery for another year your redemption value would be $2,000.

6. What if three years after receiving my new system I am not yet ready for another replacement? You will have a $1,500 credit applied to your account that you can use to buy other merchandise of your choice. Your choice, anything we have in stock or can order for you, a laptop or digital camera, LCD flat screen or plasma TV... Anything you can find anywhere, we can get for you. Keep in mind that you will still be required to "trade-in" your merchandise at the end of the three years as with your computer. At which time we will appraise your merchandise and if you agree to our assessment, you will be allowed to pay for it and keep it, if you choose.

7. Is there any reason to sign on quickly? Yes, first the limited supply of this offer. Second, to prevent HomeRun from being obligated to produce all of the replacement computers at one time, and therefore becoming a huge financial and time burden every three years; these contracts will be offered on a scheduled basis. One replacement computer per month will be assembled and delivered. That's equal to 36 systems over a three year revolving schedule. Thereby reducing the impact to a manageable and cost effective way of meeting our continuing obligations to you. These contracts will be first paid, first made. Therefore the first to sign up has the first deliver date; the next to sign up has a delivery date of a month later, and so on. That means that the last to sign up may have to wait a full 36 months to receive their new system. This schedule is not cut in stone, but our obligation so far as the required delivery date is. Therefore, unless we are back-logged and having a hard time keeping up, we will supply you as soon as you need, but we can't be obligated to do so. And the reason for deciding and signing on early is to position yourself as closely to the front of the list as possible.

8. What if I decide I don’t want to give up or trade-in my computer? I have a small business and think that by the time I’m scheduled to receive my new system I may have need of both…? The success of this offer is predicated on our having your “old” computer traded in to refurbish and resell. We anticipate being able to rebuild and resell your trade-in for approximately 50% of the original retail value. Therefore if you decide you would rather keep the computer and add your new system, we will appraise your system and if you agree to our assessment, you will be allowed to pay for it and keep it.

9. You say HomeRun Computers will supply service and support for the computers for my lifetime. Are there limits or restrictions to this? Yes of course. Our service and support need be scheduled by appointment and will include any and all hardware repairs or replacements of parts needed. Service will include a bi-annual system tune-up and optimization when needed. In addition you will be allowed up to three emergency non-appointment incidents including rebuilding and restoration when needed. Also included is up to one remote log-in or telephone support incident per month, again by appointment. Our obligation to software support is limited to the operating system, driver issues, internet access, security and malware only. Although we will do our best to help with third-party software issues and problems, we cannot be expected to be able to support any and all of the thousands of different programs on the market. We also cannot assist with games or peripheral devices such as digital cameras, scanners, printers etc. We will certainly assist when we can, but we can't be expected to be familiar with every device on the market.

10. What happens if my computer is lost, stolen or for whatever reason I am not able to offer it as a trade-in as required? This plan is predicated on our ability to refurbish and resell your trade-in computer when we supply you with your new one every three years. We are anticipating being able to resell it for close to 50% of the original retail value. Therefore you will be required to offer up the trade-in system or pay its value of $750 (50% of the original retail price).

11. All bi-annual service must be done by appointment in one of our stores. Emergency repairs must be delivered to our shop/store. If "in-shop" repair or service is required, the customer is responsible for getting the system to any one of our stores. HomeRun on-site service calls are always available but not included as "free" support.

12. HomeRun Computers may use "refurbished" parts or components to build, repair or as replacements when needed. Every item is fully tested and in perfect condition and covered completely by the HomeRun warranty. Although HomeRun Computers will use components from various manufacturers all warranty and service must be done through HomeRun Computers, not the original manufacturer.

13. All computers and systems are required to be in good cosmetic condition when traded-in on a new system. Warranty covers software and component functionality, not cosmetic condition. For example if a customer chooses a laptop and breaks the LCD screen, they are obligated for any repair costs involved in getting it repaired.

14. What if this offer doesn’t succeed and less than twelve contracts are sold per store? Those who do sign up will be the beneficiaries of the best deal they’ve ever made, those who don’t simply miss the opportunity of a lifetime! We may have to rethink our plans, but contracts made are "done deals" and will be honored.
We want to expand and grow and to do so we need to generate capital. Rather than selling shares in our venture and future profits, we'd rather sell a great product and service to those customers who have helped us in the past, and instead of having to give up a large percentage of our future profits, we'll supply our customers with new computers every three years. This offer is very limited, designed to accomplish our expansion needs and is by invitation only. We would certainly be courting failure eventually, if we made this offer to anyone and everyone. That is why it is limited to our current customers only and limited in number as well. Those who do take advantage of it will be glad they did for the rest of their "computing" lives. And we will expand, grow and sell quality computers to everyone else.

Offer by invitation only:
HomeRun Computers (319) 668-9706

Ever wish your computer was a little faster?

Have you thought about buying a newer one on occasion? But always put it off because of the cost or hassle involved in transferring your data and making everything work with a new one?
Also, because you know no matter when you buy a new one, in a couple years it may be obsolete anyway.... So, you put up with a clunker till it simply dies... :)

Sound familiar?

Wouldn't it be nice if you could have a new computer every three years? Especially if it was setup just like your previous one, with your printer already installed, your favorite programs setup, your email and internet connection pre-configured? And you had a tech support team able and ready to help at your call, bi-annual tune-up and cleaning as well as an automatic off-site backup of your data and system in case of problems? Anti-virus protection, spam filter, malware protection and all pre-installed pre-configured and pre-paid for life. That would be sweet, but who other than a Rockafeller could afford it?

  • No matter how new your computer is, within a few years it will become obsolete.
  • No matter how good your antivirus software is, your computer will become infected.
  • No matter how careful you are, all hard disk drives fail eventually.
  • And no matter what, you will need help occasionally.
  • And even if nothing ever breaks, within a few years you'll be wishing you had a newer faster computer...

Right?

Since microprocessing began in the late fifties, computing power and speed has doubled every two years: Moore's Law!

What if you had a new computer every three years?

What if you had a warranty on your system that included not only the hardware, but tech support and assistance as well?

How much would all of that cost? A fortune, right? Wrong!

Alienware "peaked out" Computers start at around $3,000. They are regarded as one of the most expensive and best computers built. But even an Alienware system will become obsolete in a few years.

HomeRun Computers' GrandSlam line are built with Quad-Core Intel processors, dual hard disk drives with an automatic backup system installed, 4 gigabytes of memory, huge dual hard disk drives and all of the bells and whistles available today.

AND, in three years you will trade-in your computer for a brand new one at no additional cost!

In addition your GrandSlam system includes tech support, assistance and a full warranty for your lifetime! All at no additional cost.

Cost? $3,250. And if you have a new system now, and are willing to wait up to two years, we'll cut the price to only $2,500....

Expensive? Yes, no question. It may be the most expensive personal computer on the market. But it will be the last computer purchase you'll ever have to make considering that you can trade it in every three years for a newer faster computer at no additional cost, a fantastic deal. The offer is very limited, only twelve of these contracts will be offered and only to our long-time clients (not the general public).

Our Fleet Expands

Just picked up the Yaris from Hollywood Graphics. Looks good to me.

HomeRun loses our mascot: "Google"

Many of our clients have met Google. She spent her first year living in the shop on the east side of the square. I found her at the airport after returning from my first visit to my son Tony. Sadly she passed away early Sunday morning after a month long illness. She'll be missed by many of our customers as well as the employees, Jane & I and her partners Sneezer, Molly and Maggie Mae. RIP "Googs"
